We’re back face-to-face and having fun!

We are now back to holding all our meetings at Parks Community Centre and enjoying the in-person experience.

Visitors and members alike tell us that the challenge and the nerves are that much greater when you have to stand up in front of the audience and they can see all you do. In a virtual meeting you can have your notes there to read, that’s not such a good look for in-person talks!

At the meeting on November 23, our newest and youngest member – Josh – gave his icebreaker speech about one of his fascinations – Astronomy. Even though it was his first speech, he hardly referred to his notes – well done! and we’re looking forward to learning more about the planets.

Simon won best Table Topics with one that, it turned out, he’d been thinking about a lot recently – always good to be partly prepared with impromptu speaking. When a topic is something you are interested in, you will always have plenty to say about it.

Jacqui won Best Evaluator with her helpful feedback to the six Table Topics speakers, giving us all ideas of what we could do better next time.

Come along to our December 14 meeting and enjoy additional socialising to celebrate the festive season. 19:45 for 20:00 start to proceedings at Parks Community Centre, 8-10 Nicholson Park, Bracknell RG12 9QN. Guests welcome!
