Our last meeting of 2020 on 9 December was a very merry night, with Christmas jumpers and hats galore. Even a flashing Christmas tree. We had two speakers and the usual array of entertaining impromptu speakers and feedback. Our first speaker was Jonathan who told us about his experience – good and bad – with working with teams. He was followed by Bindu, sharing a novel approach to an icebreaker speech, with two imaginary friends helping with her recollections. This was followed by a topical Table Topics session, which was won by Sheila with a very entertaining impromptu story about Christmas elves.
The feedback session was both useful and thought-provoking, and well done to Paul for snatching the prize from an excellent field of evaluators., with his evaluation of the impromptu speeches. We had 2 guests, who clearly enjoyed themselves as I think both plan to join as members!
The next club meeting is on 13th January, when we can welcome a brand new year, and maybe some new guests.
